IIC was founded in 1996 as a personal liability company by Dr. rer. nat. Winfried Kuhn, Dipl.-Phys., Dipl.-Ing. as the personal liable owner, former Head of the Magnetic Resonance Dept. at the Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering, and Prof. Michel Sauzade+ (1930-1998), Professor of the Université Paris XI (Orsay), and Directeur a L'Institut d'Electronique Fondamentale, as his associate.
In October 1998, Prof. Michel Sauzade unfortunately passed suddenly away after a short, but deadly disease.
In 2002, Dipl.-Kaufm. Mrs. Sybille Schaller, joined IIC as associate taking over the position of the late Prof. Sauzade and his heires, and as legal and financial administrator.
Product History |
While in the years between 1996 and 2000, IIC's business was mainly focused on NMR and MRI related project work in Biomedicine, Polymers and Consulting, in 2000 it moved to sales of the in-between newly developed MRCDS-3500, the 1st Magnetic Resonance Crosslink Density Spectrometer, an easy to use low-field NMR system designed for quality control and quality assurance of polymers.
Benefits of the MRCDS-3500 were the quick and accurate measurement of cross-link density, NMR relaxation times and other material characterizing parameters of cross-linked polymers such as rubbers, epoxy resins and others.
In 2005, IIC launched the new XLDS-15 crosslink density spectrometer based on latest digital and rf technology using digital signal processors including many new and very exciting features such as batch measurements and data analysis, automatic measurement modes, advanced data analysis techniques, Fourier transform capabilities etc..
In 2007, IIC will launch the new XLDI-100 NMR Microscopy system, an imaging system designed to acquire high-resolution images on rubber and polymer materials using both, Fourier transform as well as Projection-Reconstruction techniques. Although high-resolution MRI is considered to be a complicated technique, IIC's application of the XLDI-100 high resolution MRI imager is very versatile though easy to use.
